I want

I really really really want a puppy, a Boston Terrier to be exact.

Famous Bob

My Grandfather, Robert Hadley, has become the darling of the Pocatello, Idaho Channel 6 News. Earlier this year he was on the news when the local and only store in Swan Lake, ID (grandpas home town) turned a 100 years old. Well the news station came knocking again when they found out my Grandfather had a 130 year old property tax receipt - apparently there is not a lot of news in southern Idaho on tax day.

Check out my cute famous Grandfather HERE!

We are all just so proud!

Putting the Balcony to Good Use

On Saturday I planted a little balcony garden. The last time I had a garden, everything died and all I managed to grow was one large zucchini, lets hope it goes better this time.

Here is what I am growing....
Herbs: mint, rosemary, parsley, & thyme

Cucumbers

Peppers

Tomatos

National Arboretum

Last Saturday our friends Drew & Aimee Cardin invited us to take a trip to the National Arboretum in DC. The Arboretum has to be one of DC's best kept secrets. It is a huge park right in the middle of the city where you can actually feel like your somewhat in the woods. Plus they have the most amazing Bonsai Museum with trees that have been growing for over 100 years, a Koi pond where you can feed the fish, AND free parking!

The Arboretum has the most beautiful Magnolia Grove!

Recent Adventures

While DC/Virginia may not be my favorite place it is hard not to to enjoy it in the spring, especially since we have been enjoying 65-80 degree weather and there is not a snow flake in sight!

Last week we (and about a million other people) checked out the Cherry Blossoms around the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial. It was a beautiful day and I have to say if you are planning a trip to DC you should come in the spring!

To bad the Cherry Blossoms don't last longer! Don't they just make you want to sing "Popcorn Popping"?
