Check out my garden Mr. Jefferson

I live a sad pathetic existance where I work at a coffee shop and I clean house - poorly I might add. So I developed two recent obsessions- sewing, and gardening - and I am really proud of my garden! Recently my garden produced some great tomatoes and two strawberries. Lets just say this is my first step to having a garden like Thomas Jefferson's!

Celebrating the Marriage

On our Anniversary we took a little day trip to Thomas Jefferson's Monticello. Thomas Jefferson is one of LB's favorite historical figures and after our trip, Mr. Jefferson is definitely on my list of people from history that I would love to meet.

On the Garden - I am so in love with Mr. Jefferson's Garden! It was amazing - with over 250 different veggies. I have big plans for my future garden now.

P.S. if you come to visit us we will make you go to Monticello with us - it might just be our favorite place in VA!

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day we went with some friends to the National Memorial Day Concert on the West lawn on the Capital. We had a great time celebrating and honoring all the men and women that have given their lives for our freedoms.

(I am really not that fat its the angle - at least that is what I am telling myself.)

Quite Contrary...

No sliver bells or cockleshells but the garden sure is growing!! Check it out...
